Mindful Return Fair Play Virtual Retreat
How we divide household tasks and chores is a large point of stress for many working parents.
As Certified “Fair Play Facilitators,” Lori Mihalich-Levin, JD, and Alyssa Goodman, MSW, lead retreats that digs deep into the time and fairness principles of Eve Rodsky’s book, Fair Play: A Game-Changing Solution for When You Have Too Much to Do (and More Life to Live).
Their next half-day retreat will take place from 1:00-4:00pm Eastern / 10am-1pm Pacific on Friday, November 4, 2022. We’ll meet via Zoom, cultivate relationships with one another via breakout rooms, and limit the retreat to 3 hours given our ongoing Zoom fatigue.
When? Friday, November 4, 2022, 1-4pm Eastern / 10am-1pm Pacific.
Cost? $125/person

Virtual Retreat FAQs:
Q: Do I have to read the book Fair Play before I attend the retreat?
A: Nope! It’s a helpful resource to have on hand, but there’s no homework you need to complete in advance to participate.
Q: You can’t possibly solve the gender maldistribution of tasks in my household. Why should I bother coming?
A: Indeed, Alyssa and I don’t have magic bullets (no one does). But we are both trained as Fair Play Facilitators, and we’re good at helping you to break down big systemic issues into smaller pieces and helping you with language that can get conversations going. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Q: I’d like to attend but can’t afford the registration fee.
A: Scholarship assistance is available. Simply drop me a note at lori@mindfulreturn.com to let me know the amount you can contribute, and we’ll help you participate.
Q: I have a few other questions before I sign up. Who should I ask?
A: E-mail me anytime at lori@mindfulrerturn.com, and I’m happy to answer them.
Hope you can make it!!
“This retreat has provided a peaceful space to reflect on balance in my house and a possible system for role clarity and equity. The space and [facilitators] provided room for calm and reflection.” – Jessica, Researcher / Social Scientist and Mom of a Toddler
“Today has been a day to focus on how to make my family work better, show up more for my kids, and nurture myself. Sitting still for long enough to focus on this worthy topic with two facilitators has been such a gift.”
